- ➤ After nearly missing her flight because of a train crossing delay, a local woman created the Helena TrainTracker app to warn drivers of blocked roads using user-powered input. The new app is now available to help users avoid travel delays. Independent Record

- ➤ United Way began its annual Point In Time survey on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at four Helena locations to count individuals in shelters, temporary housing and unsheltered living; the survey runs for one week. KTVH

- ➤ Following a report of a suspicious device near Helena High, law enforcement and school resource officers (SROs) swept each East Helena school on Thursday as a precaution. East Helena Superintendent Dan Rispens said the school system remains committed to safety measures that keep students secure. KTVH
