- ➤ Sen. Steve Daines toured the Stillwater Mine on Friday, Feb. 27 (in Stillwater County) as a new tariff on Russian palladium boosted hopes for job retention. Company officials expect that if the tariff is upheld after an April hearing, it will provide long-term price stability and support local workers. KXLH

- ➤ Marne Bender, the library media specialist and esports coach at East Helena High School and Eastgate Kindergarten, was honored this week as Innovative Teacher Librarian of the Year in recognition of her creative efforts to blend library resources with esports programs for local students. - ➤ Montana DLI's Hope and Realization Initiative earned a national workforce innovation award and engaged more than 550 job seekers from tribal communities. The program highlights state efforts to boost career opportunities in these areas. Independent Record

Helena's Spring Art Walk: Visit 100+ artists in-person, on display at more than 40 business hosts from 4 - 8pm. Start by picking up your map at Omerta Arts to win prizes, see two great new exhibitions, real artist studios, live music, BBQ + ice cream, then shuttle to the library and wander back (800 Front St.)
