ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Helena will soon begin work on Mount Helena City Park to remove about 1,000 wind-damaged trees from December’s windstorm; crews will cut trees into slash piles and adjust larger logs by removing bark every three inches to dry them and lower the risk of a bark beetle outbreak (this plan aims to protect the park’s ecosystem) before beetles fly in May.
