- ➤ Helena poet Gabriel Furshong has released a new book that uses poetry to explore how people can witness the suffering of others + he hopes the work sparks personal reflection on empathy in our community. Independent Record

- ➤ At a Wednesday night display, about 20 community members viewed designs for Kessler Elementary (featuring 24 classrooms including life skills spaces) at the current campus. The new facility will be built next door to reduce disruptions and is scheduled for Fall 2028. KTVH
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The DEQ is taking comments on the CHS Laurel project, a planned water treatment upgrade (520 feet from the Yellowstone River) that will lower volatile organic compounds from the refining process. Independent Record

- ➤ Former Govs. Bullock and Racicot and former Sen. Tester held a community conversation (at Brothers Tapworks) in downtown Helena today. They discussed voter policies and community engagement ahead of the upcoming election cycle. KTVH

Helena's Spring Art Walk: Visit 100+ artists in-person, on display at more than 40 business hosts from 4 - 8pm.
