EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Helena High student Elliot Cleary was chosen from over 1500 applicants to join the National Youth Orchestra and will travel in July to perform at Carnegie Hall and tour Europe this summer — making him only the fourth Montanan to receive the honor. KXLH
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Fire crews calmed the Ordway Fire near Craig on Monday, which burned 185 acres and was 75% contained while evacuations were lifted by county authorities. Crews continue to address hot spots as staffing is reduced. KTVH
- ➤ Officials confirmed on Sunday that four wildfires in Jefferson and Lewis and Clark counties were human caused, with three fires starting from escaped debris burns. Independent Record
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Helena Regional Airport is asking residents to donate non-perishable food, ready-to-eat meals, and $20 gift cards to support TSA agents who have remained unpaid since Feb. 14 due to the government shutdown. Helena's Spring Art Walk
Helena's Spring Art Walk: Visit 100+ artists in-person, on display at more than 40 business hosts from 4 - 8pm.
