- ➤ Helena's historic Frontier Town, closed for decades, is set for a fresh start after the Hays family bought it in the fall of 2024. They said they will survey the site after the snow melts to meet code and restore the replica Old West town’s charm for public access — work that may soon bring the attraction back to life. KTVH
- ➤ Fred Cowie, a retired military veteran and former professor, now visits Bagel Company each morning where he paints art and sits at his regular table while his red Volkswagen Beetle remains in the parking lot. His work—including a mural of Mount Helena in the back room—is available for sale and brings a warm presence to staff and regulars. KXLH
