Good morning, Helena.

Dennis McCahon was a city planner, historian, artist and local philosopher whose art preserved Helena’s history—he painted murals and designed tours to showcase the city’s heritage.

A celebration of his life is planned on April 27 at Reeder's Alley Conference Center and Pavilion with live bluegrass music, food and a eulogy to honor his enduring impact.

Twenty-one local first responders, including members from Helena Police Department and Lewis and Clark County Sheriff's Office, earned their crisis intervention training certification after completing a week of training—this certification awards them a uniform pin to signal their ability to help people with mental health and substance abuse challenges.
