Sen. Susan Webber from Browning and Blackfeet rancher Jonathan St. Goddard filed a lawsuit in Great Falls District Court to block tariffs on Canadian goods that they say are raising costs for tribal businesses—claims that the tariffs violate Congress’s exclusive power to regulate trade. The suit alleges that the tariffs have harmed longstanding cross-border trade and caused financial strain on Native communities.
