- ➤ The Lewis and Clark County Commission approved Camp Bright Horizons to support children with incarcerated parents. The camp, planned for late July in collaboration with Carroll College and county criminal justice services, will offer climbing, scavenger hunts, and arts & crafts for kids aged 12 to 15. KTVH

- ➤ Hundreds attended the Lewis and Clark County Fairgrounds Saturday for Wild Rose Lego Day, a biannual fundraiser that featured over 200 Lego displays in Helena. Independent Record
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Over 70 Helena volunteers teamed with Wild Montana on Saturday & removed 500 pounds of trash from seven recreation sites, including trails and fishing access areas, ahead of Earth Day; students and local community members found items like a machete while helping to keep public lands clean. KTVH
- ➤ Carroll College’s anthropology department has started trapping feral rabbits on Rodney Street following surveys that showed most residents are troubled by the damage, with volunteers netting two rabbits Saturday and plans to spay and neuter the young ones underway. KTVH
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Montana Highway Patrol dispatchers were honored by Attorney General Austin Knudsen at their call center in Fort Harrison on Monday morning during National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. The 16 dispatchers, who handle up to 400 calls daily across 56 counties, are now recruiting new team members. KTVH
- ➤ State Conservationist Gayle Barry began her role in January; she meets with local farmers, ranchers, and tribal nations to build conservation plans and to fund practices through NRCS programs + initiatives. KXLH
