The ballot proposals include a ten-year elementary levy of $1,979,500, a ten-year high school levy of $870,000 and a nearly $300,000 general fund levy, which will slightly raise homeowner costs—helping replace aging devices for classrooms.  KXLH

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Helena Public Schools will ask voters on the spring election ballot for new levies to fund technology upgrades and general operations because the district needs $4 million annually but currently receives only $1 million while many chromebooks are outdated. The ballot includes two technology levies—one for elementary schools seeking $1,979,500 and one for high schools asking for $870,000 annually for ten years—as well as an elementary general fund levy that would cost homeowners with a $300,000 home between $7.57 and $43.21 each year.  KTVH
