CULTURE NEWS

  • The City of Helena is inviting local artists to design a new mural for Memorial Park Bandshell after repairs in August. Submissions are due June 15 and the selected artist will receive $12,000 for a design that honors the park’s role in community events and heritage.  KXLH
  • The City of Helena is seeking artists for a new mural design on Memorial Park Bandshell to celebrate community spirit & honor fallen warriors. Submissions are due by June 15 and the chosen artist will receive 12,000 dollars after essential repairs in August at Memorial Park.  KTVH

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Data from Helena’s transfer station shows an increase from 7,652 tons in 2020 to 10,693 tons in 2025 — city staff reported over 100 daily drop-offs and 1,500 curbside users, and they expect more cardboard and e-waste to be processed as online shopping rises.  KTVH

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • Proposed plans for Crystal Springs Village on a 20-acre parcel north of Road Runner Street include lots for multi-family, single-family, and commercial development; approval for annexation is needed since the site is outside city limits (final details remain under review).  KXLH
