ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Two rams in bighorn sheep hunting district 622 have tested positive for Mycoplasma ovipneumonia — a microbe that can lead to pneumonia outbreaks in bighorn sheep. One ram was taken by a hunter last fall and the other was found with clear signs of pneumonia during a spring survey, prompting FWP to continue monitoring the herd after closing hunting in the area. - ➤ Sixty Montana organ donors who saved 164 lives were honored on Friday at the Governor’s Gift of Life Ceremony (held at the State Capitol lawn) by the Governor’s Office and Life Center Northwest as families remembered their loved ones. KTVH
- ➤ City officials confirmed that after the Ten Mile Treatment Plant reopened following filter replacement, water from the west side stirred sediment in the pipes and caused a temporary reddish tint — tests show the water is safe to drink.
