- ➤ The city and Helena Area Chamber are asking for nominations for the Spirit of Helena award to honor one resident each month who shows local values and character. Officials will review submissions to celebrate community impact. Independent Record
- ➤ Members of the motorcycle community gathered Monday in Helena to honor 20-year-old Deke Yoder, who died in a motorcycle crash last Thursday. His memorial ride + hospital walk celebrated his gift as an organ donor while supporters urged riders to follow safety rules. KTVH
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Club Pilates is scheduled to open at 2024 Cromwell Dixon Lane in late July or early August. The new studio (Montana’s third) will offer a range of classes with support from trained instructors in Bozeman. KXLH
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Montana announced Monday its contribution to the Semiquincentennial Time Capsule with a beaded artwork by Browning artist Karis Jackson that features Montana symbols (Bison, state flag colors, mountains, prairies, flower, and bird). The capsule will be buried on July 4 in Philadelphia. KTVH

- ➤ The Montana 250 Commission, Serve Montana, and the governor's office launched a statewide initiative called Two Lights Montana yesterday to mark the nation's 250th anniversary. The program urges Montanans to learn history + volunteer and get involved locally using #TwoLightsMT. KTVH

- ➤ Boat owners at Gates of the Mountains Marina are getting their vessels ready for the season as winter ice melts and boats launch today. The marina's 150 slots are already full, and rising fuel costs + routine maintenance checks are urging extra care as the season kicks off. KTVH
