- ➤ East Helena’s new 24-hour gym, 227, opened on March 9 and now has over 300 local members + it plans to grow to 1,000 members by the end of July as owner Amber Giulio said the facility meets community workout needs. KTVH
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Mr. Burritos (open 24/7) is set to launch this August at 1450 Prospect Ave. in Helena; owner Mario Rodriguez said the restaurant will offer breakfast burritos, tacos, enchiladas and fajitas while hiring 10 to 15 employees. KXLH
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Montana lawmakers discussed regulating AI in medical care during a committee hearing Tuesday in Helena. Adam Meier from the Cicero Institute outlined plans to license AI for diagnostic tools + Commissioner Sarah Swanson said legal updates are needed to secure new technology. MontanaRightNow
- ➤ Gov. Gianforte announced that USDA approved a waiver to restrict SNAP buyers from purchasing soda, candy, and other sugary foods. The state will implement the changes later this year to promote healthier choices while allowing items like milk, fruit juice, and protein bars. KTVH

- ➤ Montana EMS were honored at the Capitol on Tuesday during EMS Week, May 17 - 24, for handling over 162,000 calls last year, with the Department of Public Health and Human Services and Lt. Gov. Kristen Juras recognizing five EMS teams from across the state. KTVH
