EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Children, parents, and educators are celebrating the Head Start Program's 60th anniversary this week while discussions continue on a federal proposal to dismantle the program. The RMDC Head Start Program, which serves 25 children and families and is one of 22 statewide grantees at nearly 100 sites, said it remains optimistic after receiving its full funding letter. KTVH
- ➤ About 650 eighth graders from Helena, East Helena, Montana City and Clancy took part in Construction Days at Helena College on Friday to learn about trades careers such as building, waste management and electrical work. The event—hosted by Helena College and Helena WINS through the local Chamber of Commerce—featured ten trades employers and marked the fourth year of the program. KXLH
