Good morning, Helena.

The Myrna Loy lost all three National Endowment of the Arts grants for 2024 and 2025, which forced the theater to cancel shows and pause projects by shifting about $80,000 from its budget—Executive Director Benji Cosgrove said it will continue to bring art to Helena.

Helena Middle School students in the Environmental Awareness Club worked to secure a compost bin when their $500 grant was frozen, so they reached out to local companies—Gardenwerks, Lowes and Home Depot—to get the funds and donations needed to complete the project.
