- ➤ Loved ones gathered on Sunday at Ten Mile Creek where they built small boats from leaves, twigs, and bark to honor children lost to grief, a ritual guided by the Helena Early Childhood Collaborative. The group will host another loss event on August 20th at the Lewis and Clark Library — offering families a space to continue healing through nature. KTVH

- ➤ Authorities are seeking help after a 64-year-old man—Marc Newell—left the Helena Prerelease Center on June 1 and has not returned. Independent Record

- ➤ A new party space opened today inside Lasso The Moon Toys, where the former office has been transformed into a venue called ZuZu’s Petals that offers party packages with custom invitations, music, and activities. The venue is located at 25 South Last Chance Gulch (a nod to the movie It’s a Wonderful Life). KXLH

- ➤ Helena native Sonda Gaub — a member of the Helena Citizens’ Council — announced her candidacy for mayor today. Her campaign will focus on public safety, business support, and transparent government, and candidate filing closes on June 16. KTVH
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Montana now reports 15 cases of measles, including two hospitalizations, with two new cases reported on Monday in Hill County—health officials warn unvaccinated travelers to avoid air travel as exposure risks at airports grow and nearly 1,100 cases have been seen nationwide. KTVH
