  • Helena native and Olympian Konnor Ralph will lead the Last Chance Stampede parade on July 25, starting at noon downtown. He visited Warren Elementary last week and met local fans, and attendees can meet him during the awards ceremony + celebration.  KTVH

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Helena-based ScareLadies raised over $15,000 for Helena Public Schools meal debt, surpassing their $5,000 goal and clearing the graduating seniors’ account. The group plans to host more fundraising events in the coming weeks + build additional community partnerships.  KTVH

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Officials from local, state, and federal agencies briefed the public in Helena Tuesday at an event hosted by the governor's office on the wildfire season outlook, noting that a mild winter raises questions and a potential for above-normal activity remains.  Independent Record

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • On Monday, the City of Helena approved a $70,000 upgrade to the DeFord trailhead after a 3 to 2 vote amid concerns over drivers reversing into South Davis Street — the project will realign the trail and redesign the parking area with one-way flow and an ADA-accessible space.  KTVH
