- ➤ Helena’s Lewis and Clark Humane Society reported that warmer weather has led to an increase in lost pets at its shelter — urging pet owners to microchip their pets and update their collar tags. Staff said that if a pet goes missing, owners should file a report and check the shelter frequently to help reunite with their animals. KTVH

- ➤ Helena Police Department responded around 3 a.m. today at the 3200 block of U.S. Highway 12 to a report of an assault in progress, and Alhius James Lamere now faces assault charges. Independent Record
