The Montana Historical Society is hosting the Montana History Festival to celebrate the full opening of the Montana Heritage Center.

The free five-day event runs from Wednesday, June 24 to Sunday, June 28 across Helena and offers tours, workshops + live music.

Firefighters battled a wildfire on Mount Helena Monday afternoon as crews worked to keep the area safe.

State leaders met in Helena Monday, June 15 to mark World Elder Abuse Awareness Day and urged neighbors to learn warning signs of scams and neglect targeting seniors (officials advised monitoring financial records and staying alert).

During the summer, Carroll College men's basketball players painted local parking lots to raise funds for living costs and adjust their practice schedules.

They completed five projects and plan at least six more (including the Cathedral of St. Helena lot) to develop life skills and support the community.
