Construction continues on the Montana Wild avian walkway project after water infrastructure issues (that delayed its spring opening) shifted plans; crews will grade the path and deposit granite while volunteers guide ambassador raptors, with birds moving indoors by summer's end and added features ready by early fall.

The Montana Department of Transportation and Interstate Improvement, Inc. are working on a nearly $3.8 million pavement preservation project along US Highway 12 between Helena and East Helena that will continue into mid-August.

Drivers may face reduced speeds and brief lane closures during the work.

Dogs from across the state compete in dock diving at The Dog Dock in Helena’s North Valley this weekend.

Spectators can watch Distance Jumps, Hydro Dash and Air Retrieve training sessions start at 9 a.m. today and tomorrow.
