The State Capital Band, led by conductor Rob Loveridge, will perform a patriotic concert on Thursday, July 2 to kick off America’s 250th anniversary celebrations in Helena.

A Montana judge temporarily blocked a state policy limiting bison grazing on state trust lands — allowing new permit applications to be considered — while a legal challenge moves forward.

County health officials met recently to review a community health improvement plan created last spring to tackle chronic disease, behavioral health, and housing.

They plan to reconvene next year to track progress in resources and training.
