Good morning, Helena.

The Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation released the Summer 2025 Montana Drought Outlook Report, which found that 59% of the state is in moderate to extreme drought + 15% is abnormally dry.

Michael Downey said June was drier than normal and hot, low-precipitation conditions in July could reduce streamflow and water levels statewide.

Today, asphalt work in Helena leads to temporary street closures that block through traffic while residents and businesses can still access the area — drivers should expect delays as repairs continue.
