- ➤ Tenmile Creek Park now has a new wheelchair charging station to help visitors with limited battery life use the park’s accessible trails and parking. The station—paid for by AARP, Land Trust Alliance, and private donors—is open to the public as part of ongoing efforts to make park spaces accessible for everyone. KTVH

- ➤ A man fatally shot himself Sunday while being questioned by Helena police near Anchor Park (authorities said). Independent Record
- ➤ Helena police said a man died Sunday in Anchor Park after he shot himself when an officer told him of outstanding warrants — his body camera recorded the incident — and no officer was injured. KXLH
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Helena crews are repairing asphalt on city streets this week and have closed Henderson Street from the 7th through the 9th and 11th Avenue from the 8th to the 10th—Colonial Drive will see closures from the 9th to the 10th with parts near East Broadway closed on the 10th and 11th. No on-street parking is allowed in these work zones and drivers should plan extra travel time. MontanaRightNow
- ➤ Helena Housing Authority reopened the Housing Choice Voucher waitlist after a federal fair market rent appeal changed subsidy limits to better meet local housing costs—Michael O'Neil said the update will help low-income families and address rising homelessness in our community. KTVH
