  • The East Helena rodeo returns to town this weekend — organizers plan to bring back classic rodeo events for local residents.  Independent Record
  • The Telephone in the Wind memorial to Samuel Tielking has been restored in East Helena after being vandalized in April. The Tielking family thanked community members including Rocky Mountain Laser Arts and Freedom Fabrication — support that helped secure the memorial for visitors to remember Samuel.  KTVH
  • Helena’s 130-year-old Baxendale Schoolhouse now serves as a hands-on preservation lab run by Preserve Montana—interns and trade workers learn how to work with tools and restore historic structures. The project is 85% complete and needs an extra $50,000 to finish the work—ensuring the building’s legacy continues.  KTVH

  • A 59-year-old motorcyclist died Monday night after colliding with a truck on Montana Avenue — Ptarmigan Lane, officials said.  Independent Record

  • Helena police said that a recent gun incident at Anchor Park led to a man's death after he reportedly pulled out a gun and shot himself when officers mentioned his outstanding warrant on Sunday—and no officers were injured.  MontanaRightNow
  • Randall Bruce Dye was arrested Monday after being placed in a WRAP restraint—he faces a felony charge for allegedly spitting, biting, and threatening Helena police officers.  Independent Record
