Sleeping Giant Lanes has introduced a new outdoor sluice mining attraction this summer where families search mining bags for hidden treasures inspired by Helena’s rich mining past.

The activity is offered daily from noon to 8 p.m. weather permitting + kids and adults alike enjoy the fun, interactive experience.

Jackson’s Market and Deli, a new downtown lunch spot, offers sandwiches, salads and soups inspired by owner Keith Jackson’s love of food service — his menu honors childhood favorites.

It operates Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm.

Yesterday, interior secretary Doug Burgum announced a proposal — with governors from Montana, Idaho and Wyoming — to shift grizzly bear management to states while keeping federal protections, and Montana Governor Greg Gianforte said the rule does not allow bear hunting as groups worry it may lead to deaths.
