A burst pipe damaged the Friendship Center shelter and reduced space for clients, prompting repair crews to begin fixes while the nonprofit placed some clients in hotels + is partnering with a local group for a longer-term temporary option.
🏥 Health
Helena Public Schools said tests confirmed PFAS at Rossiter Elementary’s well but reassured families that water is safe and classes will run normally.
The district will work with Montana Department of Environmental Quality and use new filtration systems (installed at fountains) to protect drinking water long term.
