- ➤ Walmart is planning to add a gas station and convenience store at its Helena location—this project will eliminate 132 parking spaces. Independent Record
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Montana Public Service Commission President Brad Molnar attempted to withdraw a letter calling for his temporary leave over allegations of harassment and retaliation during a three-hour meeting on Wednesday, but the commission—voting 2 to 3—rejected his motion. Governor Gianforte will now decide if he will place Molnar on administrative leave while the investigation continues. KTVH
- ➤ On Wednesday at the State Capitol, election officials tested new ES&S voting machines in an open session where the public could observe a digital interface and review printed paper ballots—officials said counties will verify the machines with hand counts and cybersecurity checks before purchase. This testing will continue with each election to ensure Montana’s voting integrity. KTVH

- ➤ PureView Health Center announced that pharmacy team leader Michelle Marten will serve as its new chief executive officer when Richard Miltenberger retires in December. The leadership change is set to shape the center’s future plans. Independent Record
