- ➤ The Last Chance Community Powwow returns for its 26th year at the Lewis and Clark County Fairgrounds — it celebrates Native American culture, inclusion and the next generation and runs from Sept 26th through Sept 28th. Independent Record
- ➤ Hundreds of Helena-area students attended the 26th annual Last Chance Community Pow Wow demonstration day at the fairgrounds this weekend—tribes from nearby regions and Canada performed traditional dances and shared their indigenous customs while the event will run through Sunday with food, performances and vendors available. - ➤ On Thursday, the Department of Veterans Affairs announced that it awarded $12.7M in grants to help Montana veterans facing homelessness. The grants—totaling $12,755,445—will be provided to two organizations to support critical services for veterans. Independent Record
