- ➤ The Helena Sun Run this weekend is set to finish raising funds for solar panels at Helena Food Share that will supply a third of the building’s yearly energy — about 100 participants are registered to run, bike, or walk with registration opening at 9:30 a.m. outside the facility. KXLH

- ➤ 7 Brew, an Arkansas-based drive-thru chain that sells coffee, smoothies, energy drinks and lemonades, will open Helena’s first location in early-to-mid December — offering local residents a new spot for their favorite drinks. Independent Record

- ➤ Helena’s Cathedral restoration work, completed over the past few years after wind damage, is now internationally recognized as Durable Slate and Restoration Companies was named finalist for the IFD Award—demonstrating their use of period-accurate techniques on the century-old steeple roofs. - ➤ Helena area high school students learned new trade skills at the Digger Days event on Monday as they explored heavy machinery, concrete work, framing, and plumbing under the guidance of Tactics Montana and local sponsors — over 100 students gained rare hands-on experience with equipment not normally seen in their school labs. - ➤ Two Helena women from Last Chance Curling Club and two Billings women from Billings Curling Club will represent Montana at the national curling championship in Las Vegas from October 14th to 19th. This marks the first time a Montana team competes since the event began in 2013—and the team is excited after bonding during a recent practice in Denver. KTVH
