CULTURE NEWS

  • The Cathedral of St. Helena project is a finalist for the IFD Award—a prestigious recognition for excellence in roofing that highlights top craftsmanship. Officials say the nomination boosts its profile as a cultural landmark competing with leading projects internationally.  Independent Record
  • Helena residents recall the major restoration of the Cathedral of St. Helena while Durable Slate and Restoration Companies—who repaired the building’s century-old clay tile steeple roofs after wind storm damage—a finalist for the IFD Award. EDUCATION NEWS

  • Carroll student Morgan Bisel, who founded Morgan's Helping Hands Project to help the homeless, was named a 2025 Presidential Scholar by the U.S. Department of Education in September — one of three from Montana among about 150 nationwide and she will attend Carroll College to continue her service in local communities.  KTVH

HEALTH NEWS

  • Lewis and Clark Public Health is hosting a community baby shower for expecting mothers from several counties to provide gifts and support as they prepare for their newborns—donations close October 24th and the event is set for November 2nd.
