Good morning, Helena.
🏛️ Government
Helena Exchange Club honored Sgt. Jacob Scavone as Law Enforcement Officer of the Year on Thursday at the Brewhouse Pub + Grille.
The ceremony recognized his service and commitment to community safety.
Local fire officials urge residents to confirm smoke is from planned burns (only for emergencies) before calling 911, as the U.S. Forest Service will burn 300 acres in Wakina Sky today and 180 acres near Highway 12 on Monday.
Officials warn that non-emergency calls may delay volunteer firefighter response.
