- ➤ Helena Police Department delivered three new sneakers to students at Broadwater Elementary School on Wednesday through the Running for Montana’s Future program—a partnership with the Angel Fund that has given over 1,500 pairs of shoes since 2010. - ➤ Scenic Brew Montana Coffee House announced it will close on October 28th after serving Helena for over 15 years. The coffee shop left a message expressing sincere thanks to customers and staff — its farewell note remains posted at the store. KTVH
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Elementary students at Warren Elementary and at the Helena Fire Department participated in hands-on fire safety lessons during National Fire Prevention Week — learning to use full fire gear, practice stop, drop and roll, and plan family escape routes. KXLH

- ➤ Lewis and Clark County Courthouse added a third security guard and new safety policies after a March incident when a woman allegedly threatened court staff with a gun—work that began in May with Homeland Security funds—while officials said they will seek future grants to further improve security.
