  • Nearly 70 volunteers gathered at St. Peter's for its 72nd annual sock event, where they made 70 stockings for babies born in December, hospital officials said.  Independent Record

  • Montana Tech defeated Carroll College 31 to 21 in the NAIA playoffs on Saturday at Bob Green Field—Jarrett Wilson threw two touchdown passes and Levi Torgerson caught a 66 yard bomb to secure the win—and advanced to the quarterfinals while Carroll ended its season at 9 to 3.  KXLH
  • Showdown Montana ski resort crews are preparing for a tentative opening day on December 12—after the first significant snowfall, staff are dusting off lifts and gathering gear to welcome visitors.  MontanaRightNow
  • On Friday night, the No. 16 Carroll College women's basketball team beat the No. 10 Lewis-Clark State team 65-62 at the P.E. Center.  KXLH
