On Friday, the Helena Public Schools Board of Trustees selected Slate + RTA as the architect to renovate Capital High School and chose Keith Meyer as their new board member by a vote of 6 to 1; Helena voters approved a $240 million bond in September that allocated over $59,000,000 for the renovations. Keith Meyer, a retired educator, will serve until an election in May 2026.

Former Helena teacher and administrator Keith Meyer was picked for a vacant school board seat; he took the oath of office on Friday and will join the monthly board meeting on Tuesday—serving until May 2026.

Over 700 athletes from 70 teams have gathered in Helena for the Special Olympics Montana basketball tournament that features more than 200 games across 10 venues.
